Importing agricultural inputs from India is simpler when you follow a clear order. Here are the six steps most importers go through.
Step 1: Check your country's rules
Every country has its own registration and import rules for crop protection products. Ask your agriculture authority which products need registration before you order. Product registration and availability are confirmed per destination country.
Step 2: Choose the product and pack size
Decide the product, the composition and the pack size your market uses. Our catalogue of 63 products lists the composition and pack sizes for each one.
Step 3: Request a quotation
Send your supplier the product, pack size, quantity and destination port. Prices depend on the product, pack and quantity, so they are given on request.
Step 4: Confirm terms
Agree on price terms, payment terms, packing and delivery time, and make sure they are written in the quotation.
Step 5: Documents and shipment
The supplier prepares the export documents for the shipment, such as the commercial invoice and packing list, plus the other documents your destination country requires. Confirm the list before dispatch.
Step 6: Receive and clear
Your clearing agent handles customs at your port. Keep your supplier updated on arrival so the goods can be cleared quickly.
