Water Soluble NPK Fertilizers Explained: 19:19:19, 13:0:45, 0:52:34, 12:61:0, 0:0:50

What the numbers on NPK fertilizers mean, and where grades like 19:19:19, 13:0:45, 0:52:34, 12:61:0 and 0:0:50 are commonly used.

The three numbers on an NPK fertilizer show the percentage of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K).

  • 19:19:19 is a balanced grade for general growth.
  • 13:0:45 has no phosphorus and is high in potassium, often used at fruiting stages.
  • 0:52:34 is high in phosphorus and potassium.
  • 12:61:0 is high in phosphorus, often used early to support roots.
  • 0:0:50 is a potassium source.

The right grade depends on the crop, the growth stage and the soil. Our Krish range of water soluble fertilizers is listed on the fertilizers page with pack sizes.
